Sunset With Saguaros At Tucson Mountain Park (Tucson, AZ) (January 20, 2007)
My buddy Joel and I were on a mission to photograph the sunset west of Tucson. We arrived west of Gates Pass in the area known as Tucson Mountain Park and hurriedly walked
around in the desert trying to find the perfect spot to include some saguaros in our view. The adjacent photo was the best view we could find.
Note that in the bottom photo, I greatly increased the contrast with my paint shop pro program. I am by no means a
professional photographer, but I thought adjusting the contrast contributed to the silhouette appearance of that right saguaro.
We stood around for quite awhile and then began to walk towards our cars, when we realized the sunset
was sending one last burst of color! Perhaps we should have stayed at the spot where I photographed the saguaros above!
No matter though ... we'll be back soon for another amazing Arizona sunset! :)
