Sunset at Gates Pass, Arizona (Tucson, Arizona - January 11, 2006)

I spent the late afternoon and evening in the Tucson Mountains, west of Tucson. Gates Pass is a pass that connects the city of Tucson to points west such as Saguaro National Park. While waiting for the sunset, I snapped this photo of this sign which provides some history about the area. |

Earlier in the afternoon, I drove west out towards the entrance to Saguaro National Park. I thought this desertscape with mountains way out in the foreground was nice. |

As the sun descended, I captured this saguaro nearby that was perfectly blocking the sun. |
